Customization Is The Key

Learning the skills of public speaking can be compared with learning to play a musical instrument.  It takes time, practice and motivation. Public, generic one day workshops on public speaking offer some value with participants learning one or two new skills.  Do they last?  Most participants feel empowered following a workshop for one or two days and then the information is quickly forgotten.  The retention of applying new skills can only be applied by self motivation, reflection and practice. Customized, one on one coaching and training with a professional voice coach and trainer specializes in helping the client reach and maintain their goal.  The customization for each client is the key.  They first determine what the client’s weaknesses and strengths are to help enhance their strengths and eradicate their weaknesses.  Public, generic workshops do not have the time to assess each participant’s skills in depth.  They merely skim the surface.  Learning takes place when client’s have time for  reflection, observation through video feedback, assessment and evaluation and experiential learning.
